Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately no. I can, but it's very time-consuming and it's hard to make it look good. Talk to me if you need this done however, I typically don't photoshop people in.
If it is Individuals, wear whatever you want. For couples and groups, solid colors look best. Keep it simple! Avoid logos, very vibrant colors, and clashing lines or patterns. Look at photos that you think look good and do something similar. And remember: Brown Belt = Brown Shoes Black Belt = black Shoes
YOU DO! Some locations will charge a photographer's fee, so do some research.
I also have a list of places I've taken pictures before: https://goo.gl/maps/GJ2ssfBx6xrNbNtx5
Just keep in mind popular places are always busy during the weekends.
Not to brag, but I can make almost anywhere look good on camera. So pick your favorite spot!
I prefer Venmo, but cash or check works too.
50%
I require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit in order to book a date.
I prefer the other 50% after I deliver the photos to you. This motivates me to edit your photos quicker ;)
Reach out to me on my CONTACT page and tell me everything. Date, time, location, number of people, if you want individuals, couples, or groups. The more information the better. If I'm free that day I'll ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once that is paid then you will be officially booked!
YES! All pets and props are welcome. As long as the location is pet-friendly. I know some canyons and parks don't allow dogs. So just do some research before.
Golden hour is the best time which is 2 hours before sunset and 2 hours after sunrise. But if it's an overcast day then anytime is good.
I'm willing to take pictures rain or shine. Contrary to popular belief, overcast days are better than sunny days when it comes to portraits. And sometimes bad weather actually looks the coolest and most fun. Make the most of it. Bring a cute umbrella or raincoat and boots. I've actually always wanted to do a fun couples photoshoot in the rain.
YES!
The first 20 miles (one way) are free. After that, I charge per mile. I use the current IRS's Standard Mileage Rate for each additional mile. See my PRICING page for more info.
For long-distance travel (150+ miles one way) and overnight trips contact me.
Both!
Most of my photos happen outside with natural light however, I can shoot inside. If the location inside is dark it is harder to get good pictures, so try to pick locations with large windows and natural light. If that isn't an option I will use my flashes. Lowish white ceilings help my flashes work better. If you are wanting individuals inside shouldn't be a problem. My flashes work better with fewer people. If you have questions or want recommendations, reach out to me!

I don't have lots of experience with newborn photos, but I'd love to give it a try. Let me know and we can work something out since my experience is low.
I don't.
You do however get all the printing rights to the photos. So you can print them yourself. I have a few recommendations. Don't use Walmart or Walgreens, they are very expensive and I'm not a fan of the quality. Costco, Shutterfly, and Snapfish are my favorites.
My photos are pretty high resolution and should not lose any quality up to 19"x13". Anything larger and you will start to lose some quality, but they should still look great up to 39"x26".
I use a program called Adobe Lightroom to "Edit" your photos. It is similar to Photoshop but more focused on the color and contrast of the photo. The typical things I do are the following:
-Adjust exposure and contrast
-Straighten and crop framing
-Fine-tune colors usually for a slightly warm film feel
-Touch up minor skin blemishes
-Edit out background distractions
I take pride in my edited photos and they will be 100% ready for printing and online sharing. All of my packages include the final edited photos :)
